About Platteville Housing Authority

The Platteville Housing Authority administers the Platteville Housing Division Rental Assistance Programs.

The Housing Authority Programs are regulated by the Federal Government and are designed to give eligible families freedom-of-choice in finding an existing, decent, safe and sanitary rental unit under rent guidelines established by the Federal Government.

The Community Development Programs are designed to improve living conditions for Platteville's low and moderate-income residents. Funds are provided by the Community Development Revolving Loan Fund. The programs are regulated by the State Department of Commerce, Bureau of Housing.

Mission Statement

The goals of the Housing Authority's program are to encourage freedom of housing choice and deconcentration of assisted housing outside of geographical areas that are impacted by large concentrations of low-income households and minorities; to provide improved living conditions for low-income families while maintaining rent payment levels at an affordable level; and to encourage economic self-sufficiency.
